Dia De Los Muertos is a special day which belongs to Mexican people. It is a multi day festival and it is celebrated on between October 31 and November 2 every year. Dia De Los Muertos is also known as Day of the Dead but it is the American version of this day. The purpose of Dia De Los Muertos is remembering relatives, friends and family members who have died. The original name of this day is Dia Los Muertos actually (without “de”) but in progress of time it has changed and it has translated as Dia De Los Muertos in some countries.

Dia De Los Muertos is being celebrated as a public holiday in Mexico. Mexican people prepare a special food called as Tamales during Dia De Los Muertos’ time period. Also, they visit the cemeteries belong to their dead.
