FedEx Holiday Shipping Deadlines 2026: Dec. 15 to Dec. 23 for Christmas Eve Delivery; UPS Not Yet Posted

FedEx’s 2026 last recommended ship dates for delivery by Thursday, Dec. 24 run from Tuesday, Dec. 15 for FedEx Ground Economy to Wednesday, Dec. 23 for its overnight services, according to the FedEx 2026 Peak Last Day to Ship table as reported by Value Added Resource on Sept. 24, 2026. United Parcel Service (UPS) had not published its own last days to ship as of that report.

FedEx and UPS pages block automated access, so the dates below come from that trade-press report and are attributed to it. Confirm your service and ZIP Codes on fedex.com before you rely on a date. The printable below puts the FedEx dates on one December 2026 calendar next to the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) dates from our USPS holiday shipping deadlines story.

What has UPS published for 2026?

As of Sept. 24, 2026, UPS had not published its recommended last days to ship, according to Value Added Resource. The same report says UPS’s 2026 holiday schedule shows delivery for all services on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. Pickup that day is limited to Air and international Air shipments prearranged by Dec. 18. UPS is closed for regular pickup and delivery on Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25.

Those deadlines are not yet published in the sources we can read, so we list none for UPS. Check ups.com for them.

How did last year’s deadlines compare?

CBS News Chicago reported on Dec. 12, 2025 that the last day for two-day shipping at UPS and FedEx was Dec. 22, 2025, and that both offered overnight service on Dec. 23 for Christmas Eve delivery. It also reported that USPS, UPS and FedEx were all closed on Christmas Day. The page carries a 2026 headline but describes the 2025 season, so treat these as last year’s dates. In 2026 FedEx’s 2-day date is Tuesday, Dec. 22 and its overnight date is Wednesday, Dec. 23.

When do UPS holiday surcharges start in 2026?

Supply Chain Dive reported on Aug. 27, 2026 that UPS is raising its holiday surcharges for 2026. Its timeline:

Date	What changes, per Supply Chain Dive

Sun., Oct. 25	Added surcharges begin on UPS Air, Ground Residential and Ground Saver
Sun., Nov. 22 to Sat., Dec. 26	Many charges peak

How do FedEx, UPS and USPS dates fit on one calendar?

The USPS dates are the Postal Service’s recommended send-by dates for the lower 48 states: Ground Advantage and First-Class Mail by Thursday, Dec. 17, Priority Mail by Friday, Dec. 18 and Priority Mail Express by Saturday, Dec. 19. Our printable adds them to the FedEx dates so one sheet covers the whole month. Pin it beside a December 2026 printable calendar if you want room for your own notes, and note that Christmas Day falls on a Friday this year.
