Medicare Part B Premium 2027: Trustees Project $209.50, CMS Has Not Yet Announced the Official Amount

The Medicare Trustees Report projects a standard Part B premium of $209.50 a month for 2027, up from $202.90 in 2026, but the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) had not announced the official amount as of Oct. 28, 2026. AARP reported the projection on Oct. 5, 2026, and the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) wrote in June that “the annual trustee report projects a $209.50 monthly Part B premium for 2027, up from $202.90 this year.” Treat $209.50 as a projection until CMS publishes its fact sheet.

What is the 2027 Part B premium?

Not yet known. AARP says the official amounts “will be announced later this fall.” The same Trustees Report projection puts the 2027 Part B deductible at $292, according to AARP. The table sets the projection beside the amounts CMS has already published.

The projected 2027 premium is $6.60 higher than 2026, and the projected deductible is $9 higher. The 2026 premium was $17.90 higher than the 2025 premium. The 2025 and 2026 columns come from the CMS fact sheets; the 2027 column comes from the Trustees Report as reported by AARP and MOAA.

When will CMS announce the 2027 Part B premium?

CMS has not given a date. It released the 2025 figures on Nov. 8, 2024 and the 2026 figures on Nov. 14, 2025, so the last two announcements both came in November. That is a record of the past, not a schedule for this year. What do higher-income members pay in 2026?

People with higher incomes pay an income-related monthly adjustment amount (IRMAA) on top of the standard premium. These are the 2026 amounts from the CMS fact sheet released Nov. 14, 2025. The 2027 brackets had not been published when this story was written.

• Use $209.50 only as a planning estimate, and label it that way in any budget.
• Note the official figure on the printable when CMS publishes it.
• Compare the 2026 amounts above with the CMS fact sheet when it arrives; it lists the new IRMAA brackets.
• Finish any plan change by Monday, Dec. 7.
