Netflix Tudum lists these cast members, without naming roles in the article: David McKenna, Beatrice Campbell, Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, Ciarán Hinds, Daniel Craig, Meryl Streep, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Denise Gough and Susan Wokoma. Tudum says Gerwig unveiled the first trailer at a sneak peek event in New York City.

The film is based on The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis, first published in 1955, according to Wikipedia. It was the sixth Narnia book published and is the first in story order.

Did the Narnia release plan change?

NarniaWeb reported in May 2026 that the film had earlier been planned for a two-week IMAX run at Thanksgiving 2026 before moving to a full theatrical release in 2027. That is NarniaWeb’s report; the Tudum article gives only the current dates.
