Checked Oct. 29, 2026. Every date below comes from College Board pages. The printable checklist at the end of this story fits on one page for the fridge.

The SAT is on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, and College Board says test centers open at 7:45 a.m. and doors close at 8 a.m. unless your admission ticket says otherwise. The registration deadlines for this test have passed, so this story is a countdown for students who are already signed up: ticket on Monday, Nov. 2, test on Saturday, scores on Friday, Nov. 20. Print the test-week checklist and tick it off. All SAT Weekend deadlines run to 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), College Board says.

What is the countdown from today to SAT scores?

This table was built on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026. It runs from the first step still open to the backup test.

The Nov. 16 date is our calculation from College Board’s rule that you have “until nine days after the test” to use or change your free score sends. Weekdays are our addition.

What do I need to bring to the SAT?

College Board lists these as required:

  • A fully charged testing device with Bluebook installed and exam setup completed.
  • An up-to-date admission ticket from Bluebook. Printing is preferred, and emailing the ticket is allowed.
  • Acceptable photo identification. It must be a physical document, not an electronic one.
  • Pencils or pens for scratch work.
  • Your College Board username and password.
  • An acceptable calculator for the Math section.

College Board also suggests a drink or snacks for the break and a watch without an audible alarm. We left out a list of prohibited items because we did not check one.

What time should I arrive on Nov. 7?

College Board’s test-day page says centers open at 7:45 a.m. and doors close at 8 a.m., “unless otherwise noted on your admission ticket.” Testing starts between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m., and standard time ends between 10:45 and 11 a.m. There is one 10-minute break between sections. Students who borrow a device must arrive 30 minutes early.

Bluebook’s own page tells students to arrive 15 minutes before the test begins. The two pages differ, so go by the arrival time and test center address on your ticket.

When do exam setup and the admission ticket happen?

College Board says that “1-5 days before your test, you’ll complete a quick exam setup and generate your admission ticket.” For Nov. 7 that is Monday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 6. The ticket becomes available five days before the test, which is Nov. 2. Doing setup early leaves time to fix a Bluebook problem before the weekend.

When do November SAT scores come out?

In its Fall 2026 table for SAT Weekend, College Board lists the Nov. 7 test with student scores on Friday, Nov. 20, 2026 and the K-12 Score Reporting Portal on Monday, Nov. 23. The Dec. 5 test follows on Dec. 18 for students and Dec. 21 for the portal.

Up to four score sends are free with each weekend registration. If you want to change who gets them, do it by Monday, Nov. 16.

What if I cannot test on Nov. 7?

You cannot add yourself to this date now, because both deadlines passed in October. The next SAT is Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026: register by Friday, Nov. 20, or by Tuesday, Nov. 24 with additional late fees. If you need to borrow a testing device from College Board, it asks for requests at least 30 days before test day, and a request does not guarantee a device. For Dec. 5 that mark is Thursday, Nov. 5 (our calculation). The full 2026-27 list is in our SAT and ACT test dates story.
