The Toray Pan Pacific Open quarterfinals in Tokyo start at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) tonight, Thursday, Oct. 29, which is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30 in Tokyo, according to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) order of play released Oct. 29. Times on that sheet are Japan Standard Time (JST), which is 13 hours ahead of ET until U.S. clocks fall back on Sunday, Nov. 1. Naomi Osaka is not in the quarterfinals: her round-of-16 opponent, wild card Mia Pohankova, is. The WTA adds that “matches may be moved at the Supervisor’s discretion.”
What is the Toray Pan Pacific Open 2026 schedule?
The WTA describes the Toray Pan Pacific Open as a WTA 500 tournament on outdoor hard courts in Tokyo, with a main draw of 28 singles and 16 doubles players, played Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, 2026. The tournament’s own site lists Ariake Coliseum and Ariake Tennis Forest Park in Koto-ku, Tokyo, as the venue, with qualifying on Oct. 24 and 25. We computed the weekdays below from those dates, and they are Tokyo dates.
| Round | Tokyo date | Start time |
|---|---|---|
| Quarterfinals | Fri., Oct. 30 | 10:30 a.m. JST on Center Court (WTA order of play) |
| Semifinals | Sat., Oct. 31 | Not yet announced |
| Final | Sun., Nov. 1 | Not yet announced |
What time are the quarterfinals in U.S. and UK time?
Friday’s Center Court order has four singles quarterfinals. Columns show Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), Central Daylight Time (CDT), Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in the United Kingdom (UK). In brackets, [LL] is a lucky loser, [WC] a wild card, [Q] a qualifier and a number is the seed. A “not before” time is the earliest start.
| Center Court, Fri., Oct. 30 | JST | Eastern (EDT) | Central (CDT) | Pacific (PDT) | UK (GMT) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| [LL] Kamilla Rakhimova (Uzbekistan) v [Q] Maya Joint (Australia) | 10:30 a.m. | 9:30 p.m. Thu., Oct. 29 | 8:30 p.m. Thu. | 6:30 p.m. Thu. | 1:30 a.m. Fri. |
| [WC] Mia Pohankova (Slovakia) v [Q] Alycia Parks (USA) | Not before 11:30 a.m. | 10:30 p.m. Thu. | 9:30 p.m. Thu. | 7:30 p.m. Thu. | 2:30 a.m. Fri. |
| Elena Rybakina or Yulia Putintseva (both Kazakhstan) v Leylah Fernandez (Canada) | Not before 2:30 p.m. | 1:30 a.m. Fri. | 12:30 a.m. Fri. | 10:30 p.m. Thu. | 5:30 a.m. Fri. |
| [8] Alexandra Eala (Philippines) v [3] Diana Shnaider | Not before 5 p.m. | 4 a.m. Fri. | 3 a.m. Fri. | 1 a.m. Fri. | 8 a.m. Fri. |
Show Court starts at 12 p.m. JST (11 p.m. EDT Thursday) with doubles quarterfinals. The Rybakina and Putintseva round-of-16 match had no result when the order of play was released, which is why the third quarterfinal lists both names.
What happened to Naomi Osaka in Tokyo?
Osaka, seeded seventh and ranked 19th on the draw sheet, beat Jasmine Paolini 6-3, 7-6(4) in the first round. Her round-of-16 match against Pohankova was set for Center Court, not before 2:30 p.m. JST on Thursday, Oct. 29. Friday’s order of play puts Pohankova in the quarterfinals against Parks, so Osaka lost that match. The singles draw we read (released Oct. 28) showed no Thursday scores, so we do not give the score. Pohankova beat Tereza Valentova 6-1, 6-4 in the first round.
What time is the Toray Pan Pacific Open 2026 final in the U.S.?
The final is Sunday, Nov. 1 in Tokyo, and its start time is not yet announced. JST is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) plus 9 hours all year. Eastern Time is UTC minus 4 hours (EDT) until 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, then UTC minus 5 hours as Eastern Standard Time (EST), according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which says daylight saving time in 2026 ends Nov. 1 at 2 a.m. local time. The United Kingdom has been on GMT since Oct. 25, so it is 9 hours behind Tokyo.
The start times below are examples only, built from the 10:30 a.m. start used on Friday, and not scheduled times. Each is converted through UTC.
| Example start (JST) | Eastern | Central | Pacific | UK (GMT) |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Sun., Nov. 1, 1 p.m. | 12 a.m. EDT Sun., Nov. 1 | 11 p.m. CDT Sat. | 9 p.m. PDT Sat. | 4 a.m. Sun. |
| Sun., Nov. 1, 3 p.m. | 1 a.m. EST Sun., Nov. 1 | 1 a.m. CDT Sun. | 11 p.m. PDT Sat. | 6 a.m. Sun. |
What happens at 3 p.m. JST on Nov. 1 in the U.S.?
A 3 p.m. JST start on Nov. 1 is 6 a.m. UTC, the moment Eastern clocks go from 2 a.m. EDT back to 1 a.m. EST. We list it as 1 a.m. EST, the second 1 a.m. of the night. Central clocks change an hour later at 7 a.m. UTC, so the same instant is still 1 a.m. CDT, and Pacific clocks change at 8 a.m. UTC, so it is 11 p.m. PDT on Saturday. Any final that starts after 3 p.m. JST falls after the change in Eastern Time. For the change itself, see our daylight saving time ends Nov. 1, 2026 story.
Who is in the quarterfinals?
Friday’s order of play and the Oct. 28 draw sheet give these quarterfinals. Kamilla Rakhimova beat Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(5) and Maya Joint beat Cristina Bucsa 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 in the round of 16. Seed 8 Alexandra Eala beat Talia Gibson 4-6, 6-2, 6-0, and seed 3 Diana Shnaider beat Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-3, 5-7, 6-3. Pohankova and Alycia Parks are listed in the quarterfinals, and so is Leylah Fernandez. The WTA order of play does not say who beat whom in those matches, and the draw sheet we read had no Thursday scores.
Top seed Elena Rybakina is ranked No. 1 on the sheet. Seed 2 Maja Chwalinska withdrew with a left thigh injury, and seed 4 Belinda Bencic withdrew with a right ankle injury. Bencic is the defending champion: the WTA reported on Oct. 26, 2025 that she beat Linda Noskova 6-2, 6-3 in the 2025 final.
How much is the prize money, and where can you watch?
The draw sheet lists total prize money of $1,206,446. The winner receives $185,500 and 500 ranking points. The finalist gets $114,500 and 325 points, a semifinalist $66,003 and 195 points, and a quarterfinalist $33,475 and 108 points.
The official WTA and tournament pages we read do not name a U.S. or U.K. broadcaster for 2026, so check the WTA’s website and your local listings. Saturday’s order of play, when it appears, will show the semifinal times.
