Bank of England Interest Rate Dates 2027: Eight Decisions, Starting 4 February; Next on 5 November 2026

The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) next announces a rate decision on Thursday 5 November 2026, with a Monetary Policy Report, and then on Thursday 17 December 2026, according to the Bank’s Upcoming MPC dates page, last updated 21 September 2026. For 2027 the Bank published eight dates in a news release on 17 September 2026. When is the next Bank of England interest rate decision?

Two announcements remain in 2026, both Thursdays. The Bank’s dates page marks only the first with a Monetary Policy Report. The Bank lists 2026 Report months as February, April, July and November.

What are the Bank of England MPC dates for 2027?

The Bank’s release “Monetary Policy Committee dates for 2027”, published 17 September 2026, lists eight confirmed dates. It lists the MPC announcement and the publication of the Minutes on the same dates.

Four of the eight decisions come with a Monetary Policy Report: February, April, July and November. The gaps are all either 42 days (six weeks) or 49 days (seven weeks), and 2027 has four six-week gaps and four seven-week gaps counting from 17 December 2026.

Were the 2027 dates provisional?

They were. A Bank of England release of 18 December 2025 called the same dates provisional, and the release of 17 September 2026 confirmed them. The Self Assessment story covers another set of UK dates that fall early in 2027.

How do the 2027 dates compare with the US Federal Reserve?

The Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) calendar page lists tentative 2027 decision days, all Wednesdays, and the page itself says they are tentative. We matched them against the Bank’s dates.

In four weeks of 2027 both banks decide (the Fed 2027 schedule story has the full US list), with the Fed on the Wednesday and the Bank the next day: 17 and 18 March, 28 and 29 April, 28 and 29 July, and 15 and 16 September. In the other four pairs the Bank decides eight days after the Fed.
