FOMC Meeting Dates 2027: Eight Fed Meetings, Decision Days, Minutes Dates and the Dec. 8-9, 2026 Meeting

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) has eight tentative meetings on its 2027 calendar, starting Jan. 26-27 and ending Dec. 7-8, according to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Before then comes the Oct. 27-28, 2026 meeting, and after it the Dec. 8-9, 2026 meeting, which is associated with a Summary of Economic Projections (SEP).

What are the FOMC meeting dates for 2027?

The Fed published the 2027 schedule on Sept. 5, 2025, and it also lists Jan. 25-26, 2028. The Board’s calendar states that “each meeting date is tentative until confirmed at the meeting immediately preceding it.” The decision day is the second day, and in 2027 each one is a Wednesday. The last column is our calculation from the Fed’s three-week rule for minutes: the decision day plus 21 days.

The Fed’s calendar shows the Oct. 27-28, 2026 meeting without an SEP, then Dec. 8-9, 2026 with one. The most recent meeting with an SEP was Sept. 15-16, 2026, and its minutes were released on Oct. 7, 2026.

What time is an FOMC decision in other time zones?

FOMC statements carry the line “For release at 2:00 p.m. EDT”, as the Sept. 16, 2026 statement does. So statements have been released at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the meeting’s second day. We computed each conversion below with a time zone calculation; the conversions are ours, not the Fed’s.

Two dates fall in weeks when the United States and the United Kingdom are on different clocks. The U.S. is on Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) from March 14, 2027, while the UK stays on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) until March 28, so 2:00 p.m. EDT on March 17 is 6 p.m. in London, not 7 p.m. Oct. 28, 2026 shows the same gap in the table: the UK is already on GMT while the U.S. is still on EDT.

How are FOMC minutes timed?

The Fed’s calendar says: “The minutes of regularly scheduled meetings are released three weeks after the date of the policy decision.” That puts every minutes release on a Wednesday as well in 2027, since 21 days is exactly three weeks. The dates in the tables are our arithmetic, not dates the Fed has announced.
