Bayern vs. Dortmund: Prediction, Last 5 Matches and Where to Watch on Oct. 31, 2026

Bayern Munich host Borussia Dortmund at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, at the Allianz Arena, with both clubs level on 17 points at the top of the Bundesliga. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. in Munich, per Borussia Dortmund, and the league’s match centre lists it at 17:30 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Opta’s model makes Bayern clear favorites; the last five league meetings were much closer than that.

If a listing shows 12:30 p.m. ET, it is one hour off: Germany left summer time on Oct. 25, while U.S. clocks stay on daylight time until Sunday, Nov. 1, so this week the gap between Munich and New York is five hours, not six.

Bayern vs. Dortmund prediction from Opta

Opta’s supercomputer, in a preview published Oct. 29, gives Bayern a 67.2% chance to win. A draw is at 17.4% and a Dortmund win at 15.4%. These are simulation results from Opta Analyst, not betting odds, and we do not add a score pick of our own.

The numbers lean on Bayern’s attack. Bayern have scored 25 goals in seven league games and conceded six, per the Bundesliga table. Dortmund have scored 12 and conceded four, with five clean sheets, the best defensive record in the league. Borussia Dortmund note that Bayern scored 18 goals in their first three home games of the season.

Bayern play without head coach Vincent Kompany on the touchline. He collapsed at the club’s training ground on Oct. 23 and was discharged from hospital this week, Opta Analyst reported; assistant Aaron Danks leads the team, as he did in last weekend’s 3-1 win over Freiburg. Niko Kovač coaches Dortmund.

Opta’s predicted lineups, which are not official:

• Bayern Munich: Urbig; Laimer, Upamecano, Tah, Davies; Kimmich, Bischof; Olise, Gnabry, Saibari; Kane.
• Borussia Dortmund: Kobel; Gadou, Anton, Schlotterbeck; Ryerson, Svensson, Nmecha, Bellingham; Chukwuemeka, Fábio Silva, Guirassy.

The clubs name their starting lineups about an hour before kickoff, around 12:30 p.m. ET.

Bayern vs. Dortmund last 5 matches

The last five meetings were all in the Bundesliga: two Bayern wins, two draws and one Dortmund win.

Date	Match	Score
Feb. 28, 2026	Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich	2-3
Oct. 18, 2025	Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund	2-1

Nov. 30, 2024	Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich	1-1
March 30, 2024	Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund	0-2

The latest one went to the 87th minute. Nico Schlotterbeck put Dortmund ahead, Harry Kane scored twice, Daniel Svensson equalized and Joshua Kimmich volleyed in the winner, per the Bundesliga’s match report. Dortmund’s last win at the Allianz Arena was the 2-0 in March 2024.

Two more numbers from Borussia Dortmund: no club has kept more Bundesliga clean sheets against Bayern than Dortmund (23), and this is only the second league meeting in which the two teams start level on points. The first, in the 2022-23 season, ended 2-2.

Pos.	Club	Played	W-D-L	Goals	Points
1	Bayern Munich	7	5-2-0	25-6	17

Where to watch Bayern vs. Dortmund

In the U.S., USA Sports has been the only English-language home of the Bundesliga since the 2026-27 season began: at least 30 games a season air on USA Network, and every other game streams free on Fandango, the league said in July. Telemundo has the Spanish-language rights, with more than 100 games a season on Telemundo and Universo, all of them also on Peacock. Check USA Network’s guide first; if the game is not there, it is on Fandango.

In Germany the game is on Sky Sport Bundesliga and Sky’s streaming service, with coverage from 5:30 p.m. local time, per Borussia Dortmund. Elsewhere, rights differ by country; use the broadcaster’s own schedule and skip unofficial streams.

The Bundesliga is also running a Playmobil-style virtual version of the game, built from live match data, starting 6:20 p.m. in Munich (1:20 p.m. ET). In the U.S. it is on Telemundo’s YouTube channel and on Fandango. It is a themed extra, not the regular broadcast. All of this weekend’s European games on U.S. TV are in our soccer on TV this weekend guide.
