Voting for Canada’s Eurovision 2027 act opened today, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, and closes Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT), the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)/Radio-Canada said. Five finalists are on the ballot at CBC.ca/eurovision, and Canadians can vote for their preferred artist up to 10 times during the voting period. This story lists the finalists, converts the deadline to every Canadian time zone and sets out the road to Burgas.

How do I vote for Canada at Eurovision 2027?

CBC/Radio-Canada says people across Canada can visit CBC.ca/eurovision to view the finalists’ performances and make their choice for Canada’s representative. The voting period ends on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Voter age and eligibility rules beyond “people across Canada” are not yet announced.

PricewaterhouseCoopers is the official auditor of the Eurovision Song Contest 2027: Canada’s Choice, overseeing the voting system and tabulation, according to CBC/Radio-Canada.

Who are the five finalists?

An expert jury selected the five finalists. The release names them as William Cloutier, Josiane (Josiane Comeau), Rêve (Briannah Donolo), Talk (Nicholas Durocher) and Tyler Shaw.

What time does voting close in my time zone?

The deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, in the Pacific zone. Clocks fall back on Sunday, Nov. 1, so Pacific Standard Time (PST) applies. For most of the country that moment falls in the early hours of Friday, Nov. 6, so vote by Thursday evening where you live. The conversions below are our own calculation from CBC’s stated deadline.

Time zoneDeadline
Pacific Standard Time (PST)11:59 p.m., Thu., Nov. 5
Mountain Standard Time (MST)12:59 a.m., Fri., Nov. 6
Central Standard Time (CST)1:59 a.m., Fri., Nov. 6

Atlantic Standard Time (AST)3:59 a.m., Fri., Nov. 6

How did Canada get here?

CBC/Radio-Canada reports that 325 artists applied between Aug. 31 and Sept. 9. Music teams narrowed the field to 15, and a jury met in Toronto on Oct. 8 to pick five. In August, CBC said applicants had to be Canadian citizens or permanent residents aged 18 and older.

The jury members named in the release are Maurin Auxéméry (programming, Montreal International Jazz Festival), Sam Chouinard (choreographer and director, Cirque du Soleil), Orin Isaacs (television composer and musical director), Shawn Myers (social media strategist and Eurovision specialist), Élisabeth St-Gelais (soprano), Dany Meloul (executive vice-president, Radio-Canada) and Douglas Smith (executive vice-president, CBC).

What happens after the vote closes?

The voting public’s final choice will be announced by December, CBC/Radio-Canada says. The exact date and channel are not yet announced. In August, CBC said the public vote will be combined with a review from a music industry jury to decide which finalist represents Canada. How much each counts is not yet announced.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) said on July 1, 2026, that Canada will compete in the 2027 contest in Bulgaria, and called it the first new country to join since Australia in 2015. The EBU says Canada will compete in the semi-finals, but which one is not yet announced.
