Living Wage Week 2026 runs from Monday, 9 November, to Sunday, 15 November, the Living Wage Foundation says on its Living Wage Week page. The 2026 theme is “25 years of the Living Wage”. The Foundation’s homepage lists the Real Living Wage at £14.10 an hour for the UK and £15.45 for London, against £12.71 for the legal National Living Wage (NLW) for people aged 21 and over, per GOV.UK.
Living Wage Week 2026 dates and theme
The Foundation’s page reads: “In 2026, it will take place from the 9-15 November.” The theme, in its words, is “25 years of the Living Wage”. Employers, it says, “celebrate their accreditation” during the week. Its employer toolkits page names resources such as the Living Wage Places Toolkit and the Good Jobs In Retail Toolkit.
| Date | Day | What happens | Days from today |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nov. 9 | Monday | Living Wage Week 2026 begins | 1 |
| Nov. 15 | Sunday | Living Wage Week 2026 ends | 7 |

Real Living Wage and National Living Wage rates compared
The two rates come from different bodies and are not interchangeable. The Real Living Wage is the Foundation’s rate, and employers sign up to it. The National Living Wage is the statutory rate: GOV.UK says increased rates of the National Minimum Wage, including the National Living Wage, “came into force from 1 April 2026”.
| Rate | Who sets it | Hourly amount | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Real Living Wage, UK | Living Wage Foundation | £14.10 | Foundation homepage, no effective date shown |
| Real Living Wage, London | Living Wage Foundation | £15.45 | Foundation homepage, no effective date shown |
| National Living Wage (21 and over) | UK government | £12.71 | GOV.UK, from 1 April 2026 |
By that comparison, the UK Real Living Wage is £1.39 an hour above the statutory rate for people aged 21 and over (£14.10 minus £12.71), and the London rate is £2.74 above it (£15.45 minus £12.71). The Foundation’s homepage does not say when the £14.10 and £15.45 rates take effect, and no Foundation rates page was available to check. Some payroll sites list £13.45 and £14.80 as 2026-27 rates; those figures are the earlier 2025-26 pair and are left out here.
For the next statutory change, see the story on the National Living Wage from April 2027.
What the Foundation has said about 2026 events and employers
The Foundation’s page says events “take place up and down the country” and does not list them, count them or give local dates. The page also invites employers to join “nearly 17,000 other leading organisations”. Treat both as the Foundation’s own statements; no independent count was checked.
