Thanksgiving Football Schedule 2026: Every NFL and College Game From Wednesday to Saturday

Thanksgiving weekend 2026 runs four days of football, from Wednesday, Nov. 25 to Saturday, Nov. 28, and this story puts every game, professional and college, in one Eastern Time (ET) table. The National Football League (NFL) owns Thursday; college football takes over on Friday and Saturday.

Where a source gives a Central Time (CT) kickoff, both times are shown. Two of the college games air on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Kickoffs marked “to be announced” are set by the television networks closer to the date.

The NFL part, in brief

The NFL stacks five games across three days. For the first time, it plays on Thanksgiving Eve: the Green Bay Packers visit the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 25, streaming on Netflix. Thanksgiving Day keeps its tripleheader, with Bears at Lions at 1 p.m., Eagles at Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. and Chiefs at Bills at 8:20 p.m. The Denver Broncos play the Pittsburgh Steelers at 3 p.m. ET on Black Friday, Nov. 27, on Prime Video.

College football on Thanksgiving Day

There is no Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) game on the published schedules for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026, as of Oct. 23. Unlike the NFL, the top tier of college football keeps Thursday clear and holds its biggest rivalries for the Friday and Saturday of the weekend. If a game is added later, the schedule note will change; for now, Thursday is the NFL’s.

Black Friday college games, Nov. 27

Black Friday has grown into a day of college rivalries.

• Egg Bowl: Mississippi State at Ole Miss, 11 a.m. CT / noon ET, ABC. The 123rd meeting runs at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, per Mississippi State Athletics. It is the second straight year the Egg Bowl has opened Black Friday at 11 a.m. and the seventh Friday meeting in the series.
• Lone Star Showdown: Texas at Texas A&M, 6:30 p.m. CT / 7:30 p.m. ET, ABC. Texas A&M Athletics listed the kickoff in its television windows release. The game is at Kyle Field in College Station.
• Nebraska at Iowa, kickoff and television not yet announced. Iowa Athletics has confirmed the game as one of its two Friday dates in 2026, at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, but the start time and network are still open.

Saturday rivalry weekend, Nov. 28

The last Saturday of November carries the sport’s oldest rivalries.

• The Game: Michigan at Ohio State, noon ET, FOX. Ohio Stadium in Columbus hosts the Big Ten rivalry, with the noon kickoff on FOX reported by FOX Sports.
• Iron Bowl: Auburn at Alabama, time and television to be announced. The Southeastern Conference (SEC) placed the game at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa in its multi-year schedule release, reported by CBS Sports, but left it in a flexible window.
• Georgia Tech at Georgia, time and television to be announced. The in-state rivalry between an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) team and an SEC team, known as Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate, is set for Sanford Stadium in Athens, per Georgia’s released schedule.

Networks set the remaining rivalry-weekend kickoff times closer to the game. When they are announced, this story will carry them.

Not on this weekend

Two matchups that searchers often look for are elsewhere in 2026. The Apple Cup between Washington and Washington State moved to the season opener in September, so it is not part of rivalry weekend, according to the schools. Arkansas against Missouri is not on the rivalry-week slate this season.

What comes next: the College Football Playoff

Rivalry weekend sets the field for the 12-team College Football Playoff (CFP). Based on reporting of the CFP’s schedule release, Selection Day is Sunday, Dec. 6, 2026. The first round runs Friday, Dec. 18 and Saturday, Dec. 19 at campus sites, with kickoffs from midday to night. The quarterfinals are the Fiesta Bowl on Wednesday, Dec. 30, then the Peach, Cotton and Rose Bowls on Friday, Jan. 1, 2027. The semifinals are the Orange Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 14 and the Sugar Bowl on Friday, Jan. 15. The national championship is Monday, Jan. 25, 2027, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
