Wisconsin voters choose a governor and four other statewide officials on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, and answer three constitutional amendment questions, according to WMTV15 in Madison on Oct. 23. The state’s own election pages could not be reached when this was written: the Wisconsin Elections Commission and MyVote Wisconsin (myvote.wi.gov) returned access errors, so the facts below come from WMTV15, Fox6 in Milwaukee and Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR). What are the three constitutional amendment questions?

WMTV15 reported three statewide questions, and WPR’s Oct. 14 guide lists the same three. Each opens with the wording below; the full text, including the rest of each question, is on your sample ballot.

  1. Question 1, the governor’s partial veto. It begins: “Shall section 10 (1) (c) of article V of the constitution be amended to prohibit the governor…” The change limits the governor’s partial veto. According to Ballotpedia, the Legislature placed it on the ballot with Senate Joint Resolution 116, which passed the Senate 18-15 on Jan. 21, 2026, and the Assembly 54-41 on Feb. 19, 2026.
  2. Question 2, religious liberty. It begins: “Shall section 18 of article I of the constitution, which deals with religious liberty, be amended…” The change concerns places of worship during emergencies.
  3. Question 3. It begins: “Shall section 27 of article I of the constitution be created to prohibit governmental entities…” The new section concerns discrimination and preferential treatment.

What else is on the Wisconsin ballot?

There is no U.S. Senate race in Wisconsin this year: the state’s two seats are next on the ballot in 2028 and 2030. All 8 U.S. House seats, all 99 state Assembly seats and 17 of the 33 state Senate seats are on the ballot, so your local candidates depend on your districts.
