Merriam-Webster’s Blossom for Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, centers on M, with the petals A, B, C, D, E and R. Two sources confirm one pangram of 8 letters. Below are the letters, words to try, a scoring example and a hint, with the answer held back for a marked spoiler section at the end.

Today’s letters

  • Center: M (every word must include it)
  • Petals: A, B, C, D, E, R

How Blossom works

You get 12 words to score as many points as you can. Each word must be at least four letters long and include the center letter, and letters can be used more than once. Proper nouns, hyphenated words and offensive words do not count. Longer words score more, a pangram, a word that uses all seven letters, earns 7 extra points, and each use of the highlighted bonus petal earns 5 more, so check which petal is lit before each word.

Words to try

Solver sites list these words, and each one uses M plus only today’s petals. Short starters: Beam, Dame, Made, Mare and Deem. Mid-length: Cream, Dream, Drama, Amber, Armed and Madam. For bigger scores, look at Member, Redeem and Remember, which repeat letters.

How the bonus points add up

Take Dream, which has one E. If E is the lit petal when you play it, that single use adds 5 points. Now take Redeem, which has E three times: with E lit, each use earns 5 more, so the bonus petal alone adds 15. Remember also has E three times, so it would add 15 as well. If the lit petal is D or R instead, Redeem earns the 5-point bonus for one use only. The pangram bonus is a separate 7 points on top, so check the lit petal before each word.

Pangram hint

  • Pangram 1 (8 letters): what you did when you welcomed an idea or hugged someone, with E used twice.

  • Embraced (8 letters)

It uses M, A, B, C, D, E and R, with E twice, so it earns the 7-point pangram bonus. If E is the lit petal, its two E’s add 10 more. Solver sites differ on whether Blossom has other pangrams today, so we print only the one that two sources confirm. The game may not accept every solver-site word.
