Where to watch Blue Planet III outside the UK
The BBC pages we checked do not announce a United States, Canada or Australia broadcast date or network. We do not give one. Until the BBC or a broadcaster confirms a date, the tonight time for readers abroad depends on whether you can use BBC iPlayer, which the BBC says carries the series alongside BBC One.
What the first episode, Tropical Seas, covers
The BBC says that in the tropical seas, “year-round sunshine has created the perfect conditions for the ocean’s richest habitats to flourish, but survival takes remarkable and surprising ingenuity”. Its page mentions a tawny nurse shark at the northern tip of Australia hunting in the shallows. The BBC schedule describes the hour as “a look at how survival in the tropical seas takes surprising ingenuity”.
The BBC series page describes the show as a documentary series narrated by David Attenborough, exploring the planet’s oceans. It says Attenborough reveals ocean life “more surprising, more intelligent and more precious than we ever realised”. The page also offers a song video, “Into the Deep” performed by Jade and Hans Zimmer, and a free poster from The Open University.
