November 2026 has 19 U.S. federal working days and 20 New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) trading days, out of 21 weekdays, according to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the NYSE holiday calendar. December 2026 has 22 of each, out of 23 weekdays. The counts differ because the NYSE trades on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, while federal offices are closed.

GOV.UK lists no November bank holidays in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. The Federal Reserve lists Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day among the 2026 holidays it observes. Many banks close on those days too, so check your own bank.

What the NYSE does differently

The NYSE is closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Dec. 25, 2026, and each market closes early on Friday, Nov. 27 and Thursday, Dec. 24. It trades on Veterans Day.
