Celtics Schedule December 2026: Game Times in ET, TV and the Christmas Day Game

The Boston Celtics open December 2026 at home against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), according to the National Basketball Association (NBA) schedule. The month’s headline date is Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25, when the Celtics host Miami at 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN.

The NBA’s 2026-27 regular season schedule PDF, dated Aug. 13, 2026 and marked “subject to change,” gives every game in ET and lists the local time of the home arena. All but one Celtics December game is in Boston, so ET is the local time; the exception is Chicago. The table below covers all 10 December games, and a printable of the same rows is at the end.

Celtics Christmas Day game 2026

The Celtics host Miami on Friday, Dec. 25, at 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN, according to the NBA’s schedule. It is the earliest tip-off of the Celtics’ December; the next earliest is the 3 p.m. game at Brooklyn on Dec. 13. For the full holiday slate, see our Christmas Day 2026 NBA and National Football League (NFL) schedule and the When is Christmas? date page.

No Celtics games from Dec. 3 to Dec. 12

The NBA’s August schedule lists no Celtics games from Thursday, Dec. 3, through Saturday, Dec. 12. After the Dec. 2 game against Charlotte, the next listed game is Sunday, Dec. 13, at Brooklyn. That window is the Emirates NBA Cup knockout stage, and whether Boston plays in it depends on the Cup group results, which are not known yet.

NBA.com’s Aug. 12, 2026 Group Play release sets the knockout rounds in that span: the quarterfinals on Dec. 4 and 5 in NBA team markets, the semifinals on Dec. 8 and/or Dec. 9, and the championship on Friday, Dec. 11, at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Our NBA Cup 2026 schedule has every round.

Home stand and national TV in the Celtics’ December

After the Dec. 13 game at Brooklyn, the schedule has seven straight Celtics home games, from Monday, Dec. 14, through Monday, Dec. 28. The Celtics then close the month on the road at Chicago on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m. local time, which is 8 p.m. ET.

National TV carries three December games: ESPN for Washington on Dec. 16, ABC and ESPN on Christmas Day, and NBC and Peacock for Cleveland on Dec. 28. Our Celtics schedule November 2026 covers the games that come before.
