ESPN says its fantasy football playoffs begin in Week 15 and finish in Week 18, after a 14-week regular season, which on the 2026 National Football League (NFL) schedule means Thursday, Dec. 17, 2026 to Jan. 9-10, 2027. The 14 weeks and the playoff weeks come from ESPN Fan Support’s “Length of Fantasy Football Season” page, updated Oct. 5, 2026; the dates come from NFL.com. Yahoo and Sleeper post no 2026 defaults on the help pages we checked, so their leagues follow the commissioner’s settings. Game times are Eastern Time (ET), and the one-page printable below holds the weeks, dates and Christmas games.

Which NFL dates are the fantasy football playoff weeks in 2026?

ESPN’s page says “ESPN has set fourteen (14) weeks in the regular season” and “Playoffs will begin in Week 15 and finish in Week 18.” The page does not say how many teams qualify or how the rounds split, so this story does not either. The table pairs ESPN’s default weeks with NFL.com’s game days.

NFL.com lists Week 18 as “January 9-10” on its important dates page and says game dates and times are announced after Week 17. Mark the weeks on the December 2026 printable calendar and the January 2027 printable calendar.

Which Week 16 games lock lineups early on Christmas?

NFL.com’s Week 16 page lists Texans at Eagles on Thursday, Dec. 24, at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video. Friday, Dec. 25 has three games: Packers at Bears at 1:00 p.m. ET and Bills at Broncos at 4:30 p.m. ET, both on Netflix, then Rams at Seahawks at 8:15 p.m. ET on FOX. Yahoo’s lineup help page says players lock at “The start of the player’s real-life game.” On a platform that works that way, a Packers, Bears, Bills, Broncos, Rams or Seahawks player locks on Friday, before the Sunday games. When is the fantasy football trade deadline in 2026?

ESPN’s help page, updated Aug. 11, 2026, says “In all ESPN Public fantasy leagues, there is a universal Trade Deadline set by ESPN.” It gives no 2026 date, so check your league settings for the day. Sleeper’s page, dated Apr. 22, 2026, says commissioners “can change the deadline week in the league’s General Settings, or turn the deadline off entirely.” Yahoo’s help page lists no default trade deadline.

Do any NFL teams have a bye during the fantasy playoffs?

No. NFL.com’s bye-week list runs from Week 5 to Week 14, with no byes in Week 12. Week 14 byes are the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys, and Week 13 byes are the Ravens, Colts, Raiders and Jets. Weeks 15 to 18 have none.

How do you use the fantasy football playoff weeks sheet?

The landscape sheet lists the Week 14 opener and closer, the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day games in Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time, and a line per playoff week for your opponent and your league’s trade deadline.
