How does the 48-player format work?

Sky Sports says the field expands to 48 players for the first time, with a new group format of 16 groups of three. That is 16 groups times three players, 48 in all. Dartsnews reports that players who get out of the group earn at least £12,500. The reports we used do not give match lengths, so they are not stated here.

How do players qualify for the Grand Slam of Darts 2026?

Sky Sports and Dartsnews both report two routes: the top 16 are seeded from the PDC Order of Merit, the rankings list, and eight places go through a Tour Card Holder Qualifier on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026.

Sky Sports listed these players as qualified in February: Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen, Nathan Aspinall and Beau Greaves. Sky Sports calls Littler the “reigning and back-to-back Grand Slam champion”. The full field of 48 is not yet announced.

How much is the Grand Slam of Darts prize money?

Dartsnews reports a total prize fund of £1 million, with £200,000 to the champion, and at least £12,500 for each player who gets out of the group. We have no confirmed figure for the runner-up, so none is given.
