What is Spirit Halloween’s schedule?

Spirit Halloween runs seasonal stores, and its official locator lets you search by city or ZIP code. Its website returned errors to our check on Oct. 29, so we cannot give hours, a store count or a closing date. Hours and seasonal closing dates vary by store. What happened to Party City?

Party City announced in December 2024 that it would close its stores, and most had closed by early 2025, as widely reported. In April 2026, Staples announced Party City shops inside more than 700 Staples locations and on Staples.com, with plans to expand by the end of 2026, according to Retail TouchPoints and FOX 7 Austin.

Can I use Target pickup for a costume?

Target’s Aug. 12, 2026 newsroom story, “Target’s Halloween Assortment Brings Together Style, Fandom and Family Fun at Incredible Value,” says that “using Drive Up or choosing Order Pickup, Target makes it easy to bring home stylish Halloween finds.” Target published no Halloween hours in that story, so confirm your store’s hours and an item’s stock on its page or in the app.

Why should I skip decorative contact lenses?

The FDA’s page “Decorative Contact Lenses for Halloween and More” (content current as of Oct. 22, 2024) says: “All contact lenses must be prescribed by a doctor, including decorative lenses.” It also says you should never buy contact lenses from a street vendor, beauty supply store, flea market, novelty store or Halloween store.
