Why I’m A Celebrity 2026 starts on a Monday

The launch moved back a day because of a Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) fixture. What To Watch says the date “was pushed back a day, following a scheduling clash with England’s UEFA Nations League football match against Spain.” Capital reports that now that ITV holds the UEFA Nations League rights, “bosses have had to go back to the drawing board.”

England Football, run by The Football Association, lists the fixture as “Matchday 6: Spain v England” at 7.45pm GMT on Sunday, 15 November 2026. That Sunday-night match is the reason the jungle launch sits on the Monday.
