iPhone Duo on October 24: US Availability, Price and Store Pickup

Yes, you can buy an iPhone Duo in the US on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, but getting one that day depends on your local Apple Store. Apple’s first foldable iPhone went on sale on Friday, Oct. 23, starting at $1,999. MacRumors reported that Apple’s US online store told shoppers to check back on Saturday for Apple Store pickup reservations, and Apple told Reuters that walk-in stock would be limited.

Being listed for sale does not mean a store near you has one ready. Pickup, walk-in stock and delivery dates are three different things, and each can differ by color and storage size.

How to check Apple Store pickup on October 24

1. Open Apple’s US iPhone Duo buy page.
2. Choose the color and storage size you want.
3. Enter your ZIP code or pick a nearby Apple Store.
4. Compare the pickup option with the shipping estimate.
5. If no store shows pickup, try again later in the day or widen the search to nearby stores.

Stock is location by location. A report or a social media post about a store in another city tells you nothing about the store near you. MacRumors also reported a limit of two phones per customer in the US.

Apple also lists the 256GB model at $83.29 a month for 24 months through its financing. The two colors are Star White and Night Sky, both in a mirror-polished grade 5 titanium frame, according to Apple.

How much storage you need comes down to habits. If you stream most music and video and keep photos in the cloud, 256GB covers most people. Shooting a lot of video or keeping large offline libraries for travel is the case for 512GB or more. The 2TB model costs $1,200 more than the base model.

Can you walk into an Apple Store and buy one?

Maybe. In a statement reported by Reuters on Oct. 21, Apple said its stores “will have limited iPhone Duo available for walk-in customers.” Check the pickup option on Apple’s site before you go. Store staff can tell you how their line works, but they cannot promise when new stock arrives.

Delivery wait times

Reuters reported on Oct. 21 that new online orders showed Jan. 25 delivery for nearly every configuration. That is a dated snapshot, not a promise for every model. Look at the delivery date for your exact color and storage on the checkout page before you pay.

If you need a phone this weekend, a pickup slot at a nearby store matters more than anything else. If you can wait until late January, ordering online saves the trips.

Carrier options and the eSIM rule

Apple’s US buy page offers AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, plus an option to connect a carrier later. Two details on that page are easy to miss:

• eSIM only. Apple’s specifications list dual eSIM and say iPhone Duo does not work with a physical subscriber identity module (SIM) card. Confirm your carrier supports eSIM before you buy.
• Carrier lock on installments. A phone financed through a carrier’s installment plan stays locked to that carrier until it is paid in full.

Before you treat a carrier discount as the real price, read the plan you must be on, the trade-in condition rules and whether the credit is spread across monthly bills.

What makes iPhone Duo different

According to Apple’s technical specifications:

• Two screens: a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch folding inner display, both organic light-emitting diode (OLED).
• Chip and software: the A20 Pro chip, shipping with iOS 27.1.
• Weight: 8.96 ounces (254 grams).
• Unlocking: Touch ID in the side button. There is no Face ID.
• Cameras: a 48-megapixel main camera with an ultra wide camera and up to 2x optical-quality zoom.

Should you buy now or wait?

Early reviews are out. 9to5Mac called the foldable design the future of the iPhone in its Oct. 21 review, while saying a regular iPhone stays the more practical choice for most people at $1,999. Tom’s Guide and TechRadar have also published full reviews.

Buying now makes sense if you want a foldable iPhone, will use the large inner screen often and can get a pickup or delivery date you accept. Waiting makes sense if you want longer-term durability reports, prefer a lighter phone or rely on Face ID. Apple has not announced any price change, so do not wait expecting one.
