Our Lady of Guadalupe Day 2026 Is Saturday, Dec. 12; Las Posadas Runs Dec. 16-24

Our Lady of Guadalupe Day 2026 falls on Saturday, Dec. 12, and Las Posadas runs nine nights from Wednesday, Dec. 16 through Thursday, Dec. 24. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) lists Dec. 12, 2026 as the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Olvera Street in Los Angeles describes Las Posadas as nine nights ending on Christmas Eve. The tables below put a weekday on every night and list the Los Angeles and Mexico City details that are confirmed.

When is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 2026?

The USCCB daily readings page for Dec. 12, 2026 names the day the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, noted “In the Dioceses of the United States.” Dec. 12, 2026 is a Saturday. The USCCB’s Advent page for Dec. 12 uses the same name and calls her “patroness of the Americas.”

Mass times on the feast vary by parish, so check your own parish or diocese for Dec. 12 schedules.

Which nights does Las Posadas cover in 2026?

Las Posadas reenacts Mary and Joseph’s search for lodging. The Olvera Street site says it runs “for nine nights ‘from December 16 through Christmas Eve.’” Counting nine nights from Dec. 16 ends on Dec. 24. We computed the weekdays for 2026.

What time is Las Posadas at Olvera Street?

The Olvera Street site says the event “commences nightly at 5:30 pm” and that the procession starts “at approximately 7 pm” at the Avila Adobe. The page shows no year, so the 2026 nightly times are not yet confirmed. Check Olvera Street’s Las Posadas page before you go.

What is planned for the Guadalupe procession in Los Angeles?

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles invites people to its 95th Procession and Mass in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2026, six days before the feast. In Pacific Time (PT), the table gives its times.

Event	Time (PT)	Place the archdiocese names
Procession	10:30 a.m.	The parish of Our Lady of Solitude
Mass, presided by Archbishop Gomez	1 p.m.	East LA College Stadium

The stadium comes from a second archdiocese page, its 2026 schedule for the pilgrim images of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego, which says the Mass is “at East LA College Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 6.”

What is the program at the Basilica in Mexico City?

The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City has not published its 2026 program; its site shows only daily times. Last year’s program is the guide. In 2025, Infobae and Uno TV both reported the Basilica’s official schedule for Dec. 12:

2025 time (Mexico City)	Service
12:00 a.m. (00:00)	Mañanitas a la Virgen de Guadalupe
5:00 a.m.	Misa Muy de Mañana
12:00 p.m.	Misa de las Rosas

Those are 2025 times, not 2026 times. Mexico City time in December is Central Standard Time (CST), the same as Chicago.

What about San Antonio, New York and Chicago?

Organizers of Guadalupe events in San Antonio, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York and at the Des Plaines shrine near Chicago have not posted 2026 times that we could confirm, so none are listed. Check each parish or shrine site as the date nears.

Print the Guadalupe and Las Posadas dates

The one-page printable lists the Dec. 6 procession, the Dec. 12 feast and each posada night with a line for host home, song and food. A list of holiday calendars has more dates for the season, and Orthodox Christmas 2027 and the Christmas 2026 countdown cover what comes after.
