When is World Kindness Day in 2026?

Friday, Nov. 13. The RAK Foundation’s free 2026 Kindness Calendar PDF marks the same day “World Kindness Day 2026!” The World Kindness Movement says the day is celebrated each November. Nov. 13, 2026 is a Friday, so this year it is also Friday the 13th; see our Friday the 13th guide for the other dates. It is an awareness day marked by schools, workplaces and families.

Where did World Kindness Day come from?

The World Kindness Movement’s site says: “The origins of World Kindness Day trace back to the establishment of the World Kindness Movement in 1998.” The movement has not published a 2026 theme on its site, so we list none.

How can you plan World Kindness Day week?

Our week planner gives one tick-box action for each school day from Monday, Nov. 9 to Friday, Nov. 13. The ideas are ours and are meant to be small enough for a school day:

• At school: write a thank-you note to a school staff member; invite someone who sits alone to join your group.
• At home: do a household chore nobody asked you to do; call or message a relative.
• In the neighborhood: check in on a neighbor; donate a coat to a local drive.
• On Friday, Nov. 13: give one specific compliment, then write down what you did.

The sheet also lists RAK Day and Pink Shirt Day, and has a notes area for what happened. An ink-saver version prints in black and white. For another volunteer date earlier in the season, see Make A Difference Day.
