Amazon Black Friday 2026: Sale Dates Not Announced Yet, Past Start Dates and Holiday Return Policy

Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale window on aboutamazon.com as of Oct. 26, 2026. Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday, Nov. 30, 2026 (see when Black Friday falls and when Cyber Monday falls).

Amazon’s own pages do show how early the sale began in the last three years. This story lists those windows, counts the days, gives a pattern-based estimate for 2026, and covers the holiday return deadline. A printable Amazon holiday timeline is below.

When does Amazon Black Friday 2026 start?

Not yet announced. If Amazon keeps the gap of 2023 to 2025, the start is Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026 (8 days before Black Friday, as in 2024 and 2025) or Friday, Nov. 20 (7 days, as in 2023). Both are our estimates from past dates, not Amazon dates, and Amazon could pick any day. We will update this page when the company announces it.

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days page says Prime Big Deal Days 2026 “takes place October 6–7.” It started “12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, October 6 (3:01 a.m. EDT)” and “lasts 48 hours.” That October sale is over, and Amazon’s page gives no November dates.

When did Amazon’s Black Friday sale run in past years?

The start and end dates come from Amazon’s own Black Friday pages. The weekdays, the gap and the day counts are our computation, counting the first and last day.

Amazon’s 2025 page says customers could enjoy “Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals starting November 20 at 12:01 am PST” and that Black Friday “falls on November 28, 2025.” Its Cyber Monday page says the “2025 Cyber Monday shopping event kicks off November 29 and runs through December 1.” The 2024 page lists “Black Friday Week deals from November 21 at 12:01 am PST through November 29 at 11:59 pm PST.” The 2023 page says “Amazon’s Black Friday deals started Friday, November 17” and “will run through November 27, 2023.”

Is there a pattern to the Amazon start date?

Black Friday is the day after U.S. Thanksgiving, the fourth Thursday of November (when Thanksgiving falls). Amazon’s start came 7 days before Black Friday in 2023 and 8 days before in 2024 and 2025. Two of three years began on a Thursday, one on a Friday.

Black Friday 2026 is Nov. 27, so 8 days earlier is Thursday, Nov. 19 and 7 days earlier is Friday, Nov. 20. Three years is a short record, and a pattern is not a promise. Treat these as planning guesses and wait for Amazon’s own post.

What is Amazon’s holiday return policy for 2026?

Amazon’s consumer page for 2026 was not found as of Oct. 26, 2026. ppc.land reported that an Amazon Seller News post dated Oct. 16, 2026 says items bought Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 2026 are returnable until Jan. 31, 2027, Apple-branded products until Jan. 15, 2027, and that “This policy will apply every year.” That is a report of Amazon’s seller notice, so check Amazon’s help pages before you rely on it.

For comparison, Amazon’s 2025 policy said “most items purchased between November 1 and December 31 can be returned until January 31, 2026,” with Apple-branded products “through January 15, 2026.”

• Sun., Nov. 1, 2026: the reported start of the holiday return window.
• Thu., Nov. 19 or Fri., Nov. 20: our estimated start of Black Friday Week, until Amazon says otherwise.
• Fri., Nov. 27 and Mon., Nov. 30: Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
• Thu., Dec. 31: the last purchase day in the reported return window.
• Fri., Jan. 15 and Sun., Jan. 31, 2027: the reported return deadlines for Apple products and most other items.
