Avengers: Doomsday Release Date: Dec. 18, 2026, Tickets, Runtime and Countdown

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters Friday, Dec. 18, 2026, according to The Walt Disney Company’s Sept. 3, 2026 release schedule. The same post says the film “will close out Disney’s 2026 films.” Below are the release date, the runtime reported in July, what is known about tickets, a dated road to the film and a free countdown to print.

When is the Avengers: Doomsday release date?

Disney’s “Disney Movies Coming to Theaters Fall 2026” says “Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday, arriving in theaters December 18.” Dunkin’ repeats it in its Oct. 6, 2026 release (“releases in theaters December 18, 2026”), and the Fandango movie page lists “Friday, Dec 18, 2026.”

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) blog “The Credits” notes that another film premieres the same day, so check showtimes for both.

How long is Avengers: Doomsday?

The MPA blog post of July 14, 2026, citing The Hollywood Reporter, gives a runtime of “two hours and 45 minutes.” It adds that “the runtime could be tweaked before the Russos lock in the final cut.” Treat 165 minutes as a July report, not a final figure. We found no later runtime on the Disney, Fandango or Cinemark pages.

Are Avengers: Doomsday tickets on sale?

Partly. The MPA blog, citing The Hollywood Reporter, says premium-format tickets became available July 20, 2026, “five months ahead of the release date.” The format is Infinity Vision, which the post describes as “the new large-format designation that Disney announced would be available for select Doomsday theater screens.” The Cinemark page for the film says “See it in Infinity Vision.”

For other showings, the Fandango page says “We’ll notify you when tickets go on sale in your area” for some locations. A general on-sale date for standard showings is not announced on the pages we checked.

Disney said Endgame Encore moviegoers in IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified theaters would “also receive an additional sneak peek.” Dunkin’ says its limited-time lineup begins Nov. 4 and includes a $14.99 Doctor Doom Munchkins tin; details are in our Dunkin’ holiday menu story. Variety reported on May 23, 2025 that Marvel moved Avengers: Secret Wars to Dec. 17, 2027.
