Thursday, Nov. 19. Discover Beaujolais says “the official release begins on the third Thursday of November” and that “the exact date changes every year.” It also calls Beaujolais Nouveau “the first wine of the harvest,” arriving “every third Thursday of November.”

The 2026 date follows from that rule. Nov. 1, 2026, is a Sunday, so the Thursdays in November are the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th, and the third one is Nov. 19.

Why does the Beaujolais Nouveau date move?

The rule names a weekday and a position in the month, not a day number. The first Thursday of November falls between Nov. 1 and Nov. 7, so the third Thursday always falls between Nov. 15 and Nov. 21. The table shows both ends: Nov. 15 in 2029 and Nov. 21 in 2024 and 2030.
