When is Election Day 2026?
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. Early voting is separate from voting by mail. If you plan to return a mail ballot, see the mail ballot deadlines by state. How to find your early-voting location
- Start with your official state election website. Use the voter lookup or polling place finder run by your state, such as Connecticut’s Secretary of the State portal, VoteTexas.gov or the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
- Confirm the county or municipality location and hours. Many states let counties or towns set schedules, so the site near you may differ from one across the county line.
- Check identification and eligibility rules. Requirements differ by state. Look up what to bring and whether you are registered at your current address.
- Recheck before you leave. Hours can change, and some sites shorten days. Confirm the schedule the same day.
