Golden Corral Military Appreciation Night 2026: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 4 p.m. to Close

Golden Corral will hold Military Appreciation Night on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, from 4 p.m. to close, with a free “thank you” buffet and beverage for anyone who served in the U.S. military, according to the company’s own page, read Nov. 4, 2026. The page gives no time zone, so hours are local to each restaurant. Pages written for last year show Tuesday, because in 2025 the night fell on Tuesday, Nov. 11. This year it is a Wednesday. The restaurant is one of the chains on our Veterans Day free meals list.

What to know before you go to Golden Corral on Nov. 11

The table keeps this year’s rules from Golden Corral’s page apart from last year’s release, so a 2025 detail does not pass as a 2026 rule.

The 2025 column comes from Golden Corral’s Oct. 24, 2025 release, carried by Franchising.com. It said the night was available at all locations for dine-in only and that military identification was not required to receive the complimentary meal.

Who gets the free meal at Golden Corral?

Golden Corral’s page says any person who has served in the U.S. military qualifies, and lists retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserves. The offer is a free “thank you” buffet and beverage.

Only the person who served eats free. The page says other guests pay the regular dinner menu pricing. Golden Corral also says there are no take-out meals and no rain checks, so the free dinner has to be eaten in the restaurant on Nov. 11.

Do you need military ID or proof of service?

The 2026 page does not address identification. Last year’s release said military identification was not required. Because the 2026 rule is unconfirmed, bring proof of service in case your restaurant asks, and call ahead. Our Veterans Day free meals guide lists the IDs other chains accept.

Is every Golden Corral taking part?

The 2025 release said the night was available at all Golden Corral locations. The 2026 page does not say, so call your local restaurant before you go. The company’s locator is at goldencorral.com/locations.

How long has Military Appreciation Night run?

Golden Corral says the night began in 2001 and that 2026 marks its 26th anniversary. The company says it has served over 6.8 million complimentary meals since then. It also says Golden Corral restaurants and their guests have donated over $21.5 million to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization over the past 25 years.

For 2024, the 2025 release reported more than $1 million raised for local DAV chapters and more than 185,000 complimentary meals on the night. Golden Corral has not posted 2026 figures.
