How does Kohl’s 2026 schedule compare with 2025?

Kohl’s published its 2025 schedule in a Nov. 7, 2025 release. Last year’s Early Access ran Nov. 7-9, Black Friday Week ran Nov. 23-29, stores were closed on Thanksgiving, and they opened at 5 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. The comparison below is ours.

Event	2025 (last year)	2026
Early Access	Fri., Nov. 7 to Sun., Nov. 9	Fri., Nov. 6 to Sun., Nov. 8
Black Friday Week	Sun., Nov. 23 to Sat., Nov. 29	Sun., Nov. 22 to Sat., Nov. 28
Thanksgiving	Stores closed	Stores closed, Thu., Nov. 26
Black Friday opening	5 a.m., Fri., Nov. 28	5 a.m. local time, Fri., Nov. 27

Every date lands one day earlier on the calendar because Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 26 this year. The sequence is the same: a three-day Early Access, a seven-day Black Friday Week, a Thanksgiving closure and a 5 a.m. reopening.

What does Kohl’s Early Access offer on Nov. 6-8?

Kohl’s says Early Access “starts Fri., Nov. 6, through Sun. Nov. 8.” The Kohl’s Cash offer changes during the weekend: “Earn $15 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent only on Nov. 6” and “Earn $10 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent from Nov. 7-8.” Friday is therefore the day with the higher earn rate.

Is Kohl’s open on Thanksgiving 2026, and when does it open Black Friday?

No. Kohl’s says: “Stores will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, and reopen at 5 a.m. local time on Friday, Nov. 27.” The company adds that “store hours may vary by location.” It has not posted hours beyond the 5 a.m. opening. For Walmart, Target and Best Buy, see our Black Friday 2026 store hours guide; Home Depot’s schedule is in our Home Depot Black Friday 2026 story.

What are the Kohl’s Black Friday Week doorbusters and giveaways?
