Movember 2026 Runs Nov. 1 to 30: Clean-Shaven Start, the 60 km Move Challenge and a Free Tracker

Movember 2026 runs Sunday, Nov. 1 to Monday, Nov. 30, and Movember’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page says all participants should start completely clean shaven on Nov. 1. It also says “Movember is for one month only and head starts are not allowed.” The Move challenge asks for 60 kilometers (km) on Movember’s international pages, but the U.S. page says 60 miles. When does Movember 2026 start and end?

Movember takes place in November, so the 2026 run is 30 days. November 1 is a Sunday and November 30 is a Monday. The FAQ also says you can reactivate your Mo Space for Movember 2026 by clicking on log in. To sign up, go to movember.com and choose Grow a moustache.

The official rule is to start clean shaven on Nov. 1. Shaving on Oct. 31 or the morning of Nov. 1 is our own suggestion. We found no official “Shave Day” or “Mo Day” in the FAQ.

What are the ways to take part?

Movember’s support page lists four. Growing a Mo is its “symbol for better men’s health.” The others:

• Move: run or walk 60 km in November. Movember says you can cover the distance in one go or across the month.
• Host: run an event.
• Mo Your Own Way: “Climb a mountain, break a personal best, quit social media for a month or take on a dare for men’s health.”

Movember says Move is “how we remember the 60 men lost to suicide globally, every hour.”

Is the Move challenge 60 km or 60 miles?

It depends on the country page. The U.S. page, titled “Run or walk 60 miles this Movember to support men’s health,” says 60 miles. The international pages say 60 km. Check your own country’s Movember page before you set a goal.

A mile is longer than a kilometer, so the U.S. target is the bigger one. The daily pace is simple either way, and the tracker shows the running total at the end of each week.

What does Movember fund?

Movember’s About page says the moustaches have funded more than Australian dollars (AUD) $1.8 billion in prevention-focused work across mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. It also says men die nearly five years earlier than women, mostly from preventable reasons.

Last year’s numbers come from Movember’s thank-you page, published Dec. 11, 2025. It said more than 255,000 people rallied for men’s health in 2025 and that supporters have funded over 1,320 men’s health projects since 2003. We have not confirmed a 2026 theme or 2026 participant counts, so none appear here.

How is Movember different from No-Shave November?

They are separate campaigns with similar timing.
