International Men’s Day is on November 19, a Thursday in 2026, according to the global organiser’s official site and the United Kingdom (UK) organiser’s site. The two organisers publish different 2026 themes: “The Future is Everyone” globally and “Supporting Men and Boys” in the UK. This story sets them side by side, computes the weekday for the next five years and includes a free one-page checklist for schools and workplaces.

What are the 2026 themes for International Men’s Day?

The global site, “International Mens Day - The Official Site,” says the day “celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world” and gives the 2026 theme as “The Future is Everyone.” Its pages give the title without a longer explanation. The UK site is run by the charity Association for Male Health and Wellbeing and publishes its own 2026 theme page.

Some aggregator sites print “Zero Male Suicide” as the theme. The organisers’ own 2026 pages do not: they give “The Future is Everyone” (global) and “Supporting Men and Boys” (UK).

What are the global goals for 2026?

The global home page lists three goals for 2026:

  1. “Formal recognition of International Men’s Day on the UN calendar” (United Nations, UN).
  2. “Mandatory reporting of outcomes for males and females across UN programs and the Sustainable Development Goals.”
  3. “Endorsement of the New York Declaration for Men and Boys.”

What is the UK theme, and what are its three sub-themes?

The UK 2026 theme page gives the event date as “Thursday 19 November 2026” and the theme as “Supporting Men and Boys.” It says the same three sub-themes are used every year:

  • “Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys”
  • “Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing”
  • “Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity”

The page lists focus areas, paraphrased here: high male suicide rates; education and work; men’s health, including male cancers, shorter life expectancy and workplace deaths; marginalised men and boys; male victims of violence, crime and abuse; fathers, both new and separated; boys without positive male role models; online harms and pornography; and negative portrayals of men, boys and fathers. The UK home page explains the broad wording: “We keep it general because people/organisations have told us they do not want to be constrained.”

Which weekday is November 19 in the next five years?

November 19 is a fixed date, so the weekday moves. We calculated it:

YearDateWeekday
2026Nov. 19Thursday
2027Nov. 19Friday
2028Nov. 19Sunday
2029Nov. 19Monday
2030Nov. 19Tuesday

You can place the date on the November 2026 printable calendar or a printable weekly calendar.

How can schools and workplaces take part?

The UK site says “Many organisations and people hold events and activities in the week before and the week after,” and adds, “Please do not be constrained by the day of the week.” It says workplaces can use the theme for diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) work and to start or support male staff networks, and that an Employer Guide is on the site. Events can be listed by emailing the team, and the hashtag is #internationalmensday.

The free printable checklist turns these steps into tick boxes, with the global and UK themes and the organiser’s date on one page. Every item comes from the organisers’ own pages.

Which UK events does the organiser list?

The UK home page lists the events below. It also lists a Nov. 14 men’s conference that we leave out because the listing gives its name only as an abbreviation. Check each event’s own page for times and booking.

Is there a UK government strategy?
