Sunday’s Spelling Bee from The New York Times (NYT), for Nov. 1, 2026, puts E in the center with F, G, I, O, P and T around it. It has 27 words worth 104 points and one pangram, with Genius at 73 points. The hint grid, the two-letter list and the pangram clue come first; the full word list waits in a spoiler section, with Saturday’s solution below it. U.S. daylight saving time ends that morning.

How Spelling Bee works

You get seven letters in a honeycomb. Each word must be at least four letters long and must use the yellow center letter; letters can repeat. A four-letter word is worth 1 point and a longer word is worth one point per letter. A pangram uses all seven letters and earns 7 extra points. Genius sits at 70% of the day’s total, which is 73 of 104 points today.

How to use the hint grid

The grid counts the answers by first letter and by length. Start with a row that has many short words, find those, then move to the longer columns. The two-letter list does the same job with more precision: “PE-4” means 4 answers begin with P and E.
