Pasco County Schools Calendar 2026-27: Winter Break, Spring Break and Last Day

Pasco County Schools in Florida starts the 2026-27 year for students on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, breaks for Winter Break from Dec. 21, and ends the year on Friday, May 28, 2027, according to the district’s 2026-2027 Student/Teacher Calendar. Spring Break is Monday, March 22 to Friday, March 26, 2027. The district’s calendar page says the School Board approved the calendar at its Nov. 4, 2025 meeting, and the PDF is stamped “Board Approved 11/4/2025.”

The PDF is an image and notes that it is for students and teachers only. The dates below are read from it as printed.

Pasco County school breaks in 2026-27

Weekdays off are our count from the district’s dates.

Dec. 18 is marked “End of 2nd Quarter & Semester.” Jan. 4 is labeled “Teacher Planning Day - No School for Students.” The PDF has no label for the student return, so the next day on the calendar without a no-school mark is Tuesday, Jan. 5. After Spring Break, March 29 is also a planning day without students, so the next unmarked day is Tuesday, March 30. Which Pasco County days end early?

The calendar lists three Early Release Days, all Wednesdays.

Date	Weekday
Oct. 28, 2026	Wednesday
Jan. 27, 2027	Wednesday
Feb. 24, 2027	Wednesday

The PDF text we read does not say how early students are released.

Will Feb. 12 and April 16 be school days in Pasco County?

That is not settled. Both Fridays are marked “Student Day* See Note Below.” The legend reads: ”* = Will Convert to ‘No School’ Day if Not Needed as Make-Up Time After First Semester.”

If the district does not need the days for make-up time, each becomes a no-school day. For Feb. 12 that would make Feb. 12-15 off, because Presidents’ Day is Monday, Feb. 15. The calendar does not say when the district will decide, so the printable lists both as unconfirmed.

What is reserved for make-up days in June 2027?

The calendar reserves June 1-4, 2027 as make-up days for extended closures, according to its June entry (the text runs off the edge of the page in the PDF). June 1-2 are also marked Teacher Planning Day with no school for students. The calendar does not say whether any of those days will be used.

When does the Pasco County school year start and end?

State and District Assessments are listed May 3-28. The 2027-28 calendar is not yet posted.
