Today’s Quordle from Merriam-Webster is puzzle #1735, for Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026. All four words are common, but two end in Y and two end in D, which makes the last letters a good first target. Work through the clues below one board at a time; the answers are in a marked spoiler section at the end.

How Quordle works

You have nine guesses to solve four five-letter words. Every guess is entered on all four boards at once, and the tiles color like Wordle’s: green for the right letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter in the wrong spot, gray for a letter not in that word.

Clues for each word

Top left

• Letters: starts with R, ends with Y.
• Meaning: an adjective for weather with showers.

Top right

• Letters: starts with B.
• Meaning: a verb, past tense, for carried people on a large passenger vehicle.

Bottom left

• Letters: starts with P, ends with Y.
• Meaning: a person authorized to act for someone else, as in a vote or a legal matter.

Bottom right

• Letters: starts with U, ends with D.
• Meaning: past tense of “undo.”

A starter strategy for today

A first guess with R, A, I, N and S touches at least three of the four boards. A second guess with U, D, E, O and Y fills in most of the rest. Solve the board with the most green first, and do not spend a guess on a board that is already solved.
