Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November 2026 load on Sunday, Nov. 1, in the states that issue on the 1st, and every state sets its own days across the month, according to the schedule the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) publishes. Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont and the U.S. Virgin Islands make benefits available to every household on the 1st. Many more states issue part of their caseload that day, as the table below shows.
The FNS page that links the schedule, “Monthly Issuance Schedule,” shows a last-updated date of July 26, 2024, and the PDF itself ends with “Updated: November 4, 2021.” Each state sets its own schedule and can change it, so the notice from your state agency is final. Check your state’s Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) portal for your exact day.
What are the SNAP deposit days in each state?
FNS says its document “gives the schedule established by each State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.” The table gives each place’s range of days and what decides your day. The detail for each digit or letter is in the FNS PDF.

| Pennsylvania counts business days, so Nov. 2 is the first business day of November 2026 in the PDF’s terms; its counties use one, two or ten pay-day cycles, listed county by county in the PDF. New York City cases post on 13 days in the first two weeks, and the city publishes a six-month schedule. Texas lists one set of days for households certified after June 1, 2020 (16th to 28th) and another for earlier households (1st to 15th). |
Which November 2026 deposit days fall on a weekend?
November 1, 2026 is a Sunday, so the weekends are Nov. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. The table lists the states with a schedule day on each date, taken from the FNS PDF. Pennsylvania and New York City are left out because they count business days or skip Sundays.
| Weekend date | States and territories with a schedule day on it |
|---|---|
| Sunday, Nov. 1 | Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming |

| Sunday, Nov. 29 | None of the states in the PDF |
Appearing in a row does not mean every household in that state is paid that day; most states split households by digit or letter, so only some are affected. Louisiana’s entry for Nov. 1 comes from its “between the 1st and the 4th” range for elderly and disabled households, and Washington’s PDF entry says only “from the 1st to the 20th.”
The FNS document gives no weekend or holiday shift rule for these states. The exceptions are the two noted above and Puerto Rico, where the PDF says: “Usually for Holy Friday, Thanksgiving and New Year, benefits are available another day instead the holiday.” Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026, and none of the Puerto Rico days in the PDF is the 26th. Ask your state agency whether your day moves.
Does Veterans Day change SNAP deposits?
Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, a federal holiday (see when is Veterans Day). The FNS document names no Veterans Day shift for any state. It does say Pennsylvania’s first 10 business days exclude weekends and holidays, and that New York City posts on days that are not Sundays or holidays. Cardholders in those two places should confirm with their state or city notice whether Nov. 11 counts. Our Social Security payment schedule explains how another federal benefit handles that date.
How much SNAP can a household get in November 2026?
November 2026 benefits use the FY 2027 maximum allotments, which FNS lists as effective Oct. 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2027 (page updated Oct. 21, 2026).
| Household size | Maximum monthly allotment, 48 states and DC |
|---|---|
| 1 person | $306 |
| 2 people | $562 |
| 3 people | $808 |
| 4 people | $1,023 |
| 5 people | $1,217 |
| 6 people | $1,463 |
| 7 people | $1,616 |
| 8 people | $1,841 |
| Each additional person | $225 |
For a four-person household, FNS lists $1,306 in urban Alaska, $1,507 in Guam, $1,655 in Hawaii and $1,315 in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Alaska (urban) one- to three-person maximums are $392, $718 and $1,032. These are maximum allotments.
