St. Patrick's Day 2027 Is Wednesday, March 17: Parade Dates by City

St. Patrick’s Day 2027 falls on Wednesday, March 17, and the New York City parade is set for 11:00 a.m. that day on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, according to the parade’s official website. Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Festival runs from Saturday, March 13 to Wednesday, March 17, 2027, per the festival. Chicago, Savannah and Boston have not posted 2027 dates, so this page marks them as pending and gives last year’s dates only where a source has them.

St. Patrick’s Day 2027 parade dates by city

City	2027 status	Time	Source
New York	Wednesday, March 17, 2027, along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan	11:00 a.m.	NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Dublin	Festival programme from Saturday, March 13 to Wednesday, March 17, 2027	Full schedule due January 2027	St. Patrick’s Festival
Chicago	Not yet announced. Last year: parade on Saturday, March 14, 2026	Not yet announced	ABC7 Chicago (2026)
Savannah	2027 not yet posted. Last year: Tuesday, March 17, 2026	10:15 a.m. in 2026	City of Savannah (2026)

The Chicago row comes from one newsroom: ABC7 Chicago reported the 2026 parade date, and the city’s official site could not be reached when this was written. Treat the 2026 date as last year’s pattern, not a 2027 schedule.

What day of the week is March 17 from 2027 to 2031?

March 17 never moves, but its weekday does. Whether a city marches on the day itself or on a nearby weekend changes your plans, so check the weekday first.

Year	March 17 falls on
2027	Wednesday
2028	Friday
2029	Saturday
2030	Sunday
2031	Monday

Weekdays computed from the calendar. In 2026 March 17 was a Tuesday, and Chicago’s parade was held on the Saturday before it, March 14, ABC7 Chicago reported. In 2027 the day is a Wednesday, so a weekend parade, if a city chooses one, would be a different date from the 17th. Our March printable calendars show the week at a glance.

New York parade date and time

The parade’s official site states that it “will take place along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Wednesday, March 17, 2027 at 11:00 AM.” That is the only 2027 parade with a confirmed date and time in our sources. For another New York holiday date list, see our NYC holiday calendar.

Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Festival in 2027

The festival’s website says its 2027 programme “runs from Saturday 13th March to Wednesday 17th March” and that the full events schedule “will be available in January 2027.” Until then, only the five-day span is confirmed. Northern Ireland also observes March 17 as a bank holiday; the Wednesday date is in our 2027 UK bank holidays table. If the holiday week also touches Easter planning, see Easter 2027.

Chicago River dyeing, Savannah and Boston: what is still pending

Chicago’s 2027 parade and river-dyeing dates are not yet announced. Savannah’s city page still shows only the 2026 parade, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, starting at 10:15 a.m. Boston’s parade organizer has not confirmed a 2027 date in the sources we checked. We will fill these rows once each organizer posts.

The one-page planner lists the confirmed New York and Dublin dates and keeps the three pending cities as “Check” rows, so you can fill in dates as they appear. Pair it with the printable weekly calendar to plan the week of March 17.
