Which five rhymes are official in 2026?

The How To Take Part page carries the heading “Our 5 official rhymes for 2026”. The table keeps the organiser’s order. The page gives titles only, so no rhyme is tied to a weekday here.

What is the Rhyme a Day Challenge?

The organiser’s “Rhyme A Day Challenge” section says registrants receive a free pack of resources with supporting activities. The pack itself is not reproduced here; it comes from the organiser after registration.

Who can take part and how to register?

The home page says the week is for anyone who works with or has a child under the age of 7. It names primary schools, nurseries, preschools, childminders, parents, grandparents, guardians, nannies, home educators, speech and language practitioners and librarians. No country is named.

To join, the How To Take Part page tells visitors to register and download the free resource pack through a registration page it links. Cost beyond the free pack, a deadline and a time of day do not appear on the pages read.

Who runs World Nursery Rhyme Week?

The About page says it was founded by Music Bugs and launched in 2013, and that it promotes the importance of nursery rhymes in early childhood development and education. The organiser says over 8 million children from countries around the world have taken part since 2013. That reach figure is the organiser’s own claim.

Another education observance falls in the same days: Children’s Book Week runs Nov. 9-15, a separate event. Families can also use the printable school calendar to place the week beside term dates.

Printable activity sheet for the week

The one-page sheet lists the five rhymes, a five-day tally from Monday, Nov. 9, to Friday, Nov. 13, and a checklist that starts with registering for the free resource pack. A lined area is left for the rhymes a family sang.

Frequently asked questions

Which rhyme is on which day?

The organiser's How To Take Part page gives five titles and no day-by-day plan, so the order in the rhymes table is the order of the list, not a schedule. Check the resource pack after registering.

Is there a registration deadline or a time of day?

The three official pages read on Nov. 8, 2026 give neither. The pages also give no cost beyond the free resource pack.

Do I have to be in the UK or the US?

The organiser's home page names no country. It says the week is for anyone who works with or has a child under the age of 7.

What if another website shows different dates?

The organiser's home page and About page both give Nov. 9-13, 2026. Some third-party pages list other dates; they conflict with the organiser and are not used here.
