Today’s Blossom from Merriam-Webster, for Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, puts N in the center with the petals A, D, E, L, M and T. Two everyday words use all seven letters, and the N sits comfortably in endings such as -ent, -end and -ant. How Blossom works

You get 12 words to score as many points as you can. Each word must be at least four letters long and include the center letter, and letters can be used more than once. Proper nouns, hyphenated words and offensive words do not count. Longer words score more, a pangram, a word that uses all seven letters, earns 7 extra points, and each use of the highlighted bonus petal earns 5 more, so check which petal is lit before each word.

Words to try

With N in the middle, think of endings like -ent and -end. Good starters include Lend, Mend, Tend, Dent, Land, Name, Meant, Talent, Dental, Mental and Latent. Words with repeated letters, such as Latent or Attend, can collect the petal bonus more than once when the repeated letter is the one highlighted. Hold your pangrams for a turn when a common petal such as E or T is lit.

Pangram hints

• Pangram 1 (8 letters): a verb, past tense, meaning “expressed grief or regret over.”
• Pangram 2 (7 letters): covered as if by a cloak, the way snow covers a mountain peak.
