Today’s Blossom from Merriam-Webster, for Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, puts S in the center with the petals A, E, H, R, T and W. Several everyday words use all seven letters, and plurals make the S easy to place. How Blossom works

You get 12 words to score as many points as you can. Each word must be at least four letters long and include the center letter, and letters can be used more than once. Proper nouns, hyphenated words and offensive words do not count. Longer words score more, a pangram, a word that uses all seven letters, earns 7 extra points, and each use of the highlighted bonus petal earns 5 more, so check which petal is lit before each word.

Words to try

With S in the middle, think plurals and “st” or “sh” starts. Good starters include Star, Stew, Wash, Swear, Share, Sweat, Haste, Hearts, Waters, Threats and Sweater. Words with repeated letters, such as Sweater or Tresses, can collect the petal bonus more than once when the repeated letter is the one highlighted. Hold your pangrams for a turn when a common petal such as E is lit.

Pangram hints

• Pangram 1 (10 letters): someone you love, or a candy heart on Valentine’s Day.
• Pangram 2 (8 letters): a verb meaning “comes through a storm,” or the plural of the daily forecast topic.
• Pangram 3 (7 letters): circles of flowers or leaves hung on a door in December.
