Radiologic Technology Week 2026: Nov. 8-14 and the 'Radiating Love' Theme

National Radiologic Technology Week (NRTW) 2026 runs Nov. 8-14, with the theme “Radiating Love,” according to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). Below are what the theme honors, the anniversary the week marks, a day-by-day planner with our own suggestions and a free one-page sheet.

What is the Radiologic Technology Week 2026 theme?

ASRT’s NRTW page says the week “will be celebrated Nov. 8–14 with the theme ‘Radiating Love.’” The theme honors the “compassion, dedication and commitment” of imaging and radiation therapy professionals. Nov. 8 is a Sunday and Nov. 14 is a Saturday, so the week runs a full Sunday to Saturday (our calculation).

Why is Radiologic Technology Week in November?

ASRT says the week is held to “mark the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen’s discovery of the x-ray on Nov. 8, 1895.” Counting from 1895, Nov. 8, 2026 is the 131st anniversary (our calculation). The week starts on the anniversary itself this year.

How can you celebrate during NRTW 2026?

ASRT’s page has a “Ways to Celebrate” section that covers planning, contacting media, requesting proclamations, presenting to young audiences and public forums. It also offers downloadable templates and infographics, hashtags for social media, and theme gifts from ASRT and Jim Coleman Ltd.
