National Pie Day 2027: Saturday, Jan. 23, and How It Differs From Pi Day

National Pie Day is Jan. 23, which falls on Saturday in 2027, according to the American Pie Council (APC). The council’s website says it “invites everyone from sea to shining sea to celebrate National Pie Day” on Jan. 23. What does the American Pie Council say about National Pie Day?

The council’s page suggests “a small slice of heaven” as a meal ender or as a treat “just because,” and asks people to share with #NationalPieDay. It does not say who founded the day, so we do not name a founder and do not credit the council with starting it.

The two share a sound, not a date. Pi Day is held on March 14, and March 14 matches the first digits of pi, 3.14. A House resolution in the 111th Congress in 2009 (House Resolution 224, published on GovInfo) states that “March 14, 2009, is an appropriate day for ‘National Pi Day’.”

Are there National Pie Day 2027 deals?

Not yet announced. On Nov. 4, 2026, neither Marie Callender’s nor Bakers Square had posted a National Pie Day 2027 offer on its own site.
