Veganuary 2027: Dates and How to Sign Up in the US

Veganuary 2027 is the month of January 2027, Friday, Jan. 1 to Sunday, Jan. 31, and Veganuary’s own sign-up page is free to use. Veganuary is a charity that, by its own statement, is “registered in England and Wales (1168566)”. As of Nov. 4, 2026, its site had not posted a 2027 theme or a 2027 page; the United States (US) home page still reads “Veganuary 2026”.

What is Veganuary?

Veganuary’s US page calls it “The 31 Day Vegan Challenge” and invites people to “try vegan for January and beyond.” It promises “31 days of inspiring recipes, nutrition tips and more.” Veganuary’s team page says co-founder Matthew Glover “used his business and marketing skills to launch the Veganuary campaign in 2014 with his Co-Founder Jane.” Jane Land is listed there as Co-Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees.

What are the dates of Veganuary 2027?

Veganuary’s page describes a 31-day challenge for January, and January 2027 has 31 days. By our count, Jan. 1, 2027 is a Friday and Jan. 31 is a Sunday. The 2027 campaign details are not yet posted, so check Veganuary’s US page for changes.

How do you sign up for Veganuary?

Veganuary’s US page says: “Try vegan with Veganuary and we’ll send you our celebrity cookbook, meal plans, recipes and lots more – all for free!” It adds: “All our resources are 100% free!” The steps below follow the form on Veganuary’s Try Vegan page.

1. Go to veganuary.com/try-vegan.
2. Enter your email, first name and last name, and confirm your email.
3. Choose your country, which the form requires.
4. Pick a start date: “Now!”, “In 7 days”, “1st January” or “Choose my own date.”
5. Tick the consent checkbox and press the “Try Vegan!” button.

The page lists a “Celebrity Cookbook”, “Nutrition Guides” and “31 Coaching Emails”. Meal plan counts differ between Veganuary’s pages, so we give no number. We did not test the form, and we describe no workplace pledge or restaurant offers because we found nothing on them to quote.

How many people try Veganuary?

Veganuary’s frequently asked questions (FAQ) page says “roughly 30 million people worldwide chose to try vegan this January as part of Veganuary,” which refers to January 2026. This is Veganuary’s own estimate, based on national surveys in twelve core countries plus population estimates. We found no US-only figure.

How do Veganuary and Dry January overlap?

Both fill the same 31 days, Jan. 1 to Jan. 31, 2027, and both are run by charities. They are separate campaigns: Dry January is run by Alcohol Change UK and has its own sign-up and tracker. Anyone doing both would use the same calendar month, so a combined sheet is simply two sets of check-ins on the same 31 days.
